We took Hannah to her first wedding today & she was such a good girl! That's not really different from any other day as she is a very good baby, but I must admit I was a little concerned about how she would do. She sat very well during the ceremony, with the help of some puffs to munch on & she also seemed to have a good time at the reception. I felt bad for her because she was tired (she never wants to nap when we have something going on, I swear it's like she knows or something), but she was such a little trooper. We only stayed until the cake was served because momma has to have cake, but all in all it was a success. She was up past her bedtime, but was still in a relatively good mood, even when we came home she wasn't in meltdown mode or anything. I'm so proud of her how she can be so resilient & is ok with us not keeping exactly to her schedule all the time. Don't get me wrong, most days we do try & keep her on somewhat of a schedule as far as bedtime goes, but I'm happy to know that given special circumstances she's ok with not having to stick exactly to her schedule. My little girl is growing up!
Hannah is also starting to pull herself up to standing. I went in to get her up from her nap today & there she was just standing up in her crib. A few weeks ago she started really crawling (she was doing like an army crawl for a while) & being able to get herself into the sitting position as well as kneeling. It's amazing to me to think that 8 1/2 short months ago she was just this teeny tiny person who could barely hold her own head up & now she's well on her way to walking! This is such an incredible journey & nothing that anyone would have told me could have prepared me for watching this miracle of life & all the little wonders that come along with it. Becoming a mommy has been such a blessing to me & I am often still overwhelmed at the love that I have for this little girl who has captured my heart!
It does make me a bit sad to see her grow up so fast & I sometimes tear up a bit just watching her play & at how big she looks. I mean she's definitely still a baby, but every once in a while I see that "big kid" look & it makes me realize just how fast these days are going. However, I love watching her learn new things & reach new milestones. She is just amazing to me & I love seeing the little wheels turn as she learns new things everyday. She is her own little person & is developing her own little personality & I just love it!
